Díaz hat-trick sends Bayern back to the top

Bayern reclaim the summit

Bayern München went top on 14 points after a 6-1 demolition of RB Leipzig. Luis Díaz scored in the 12th, 47th and 69th minutes, and Aleksandar Pavlović, Michael Olise and Harry Kane also scored. Andrija Maksimović's 90+1' goal was no more than a consolation for Leipzig.

Borussia Dortmund are level on 14 points in second after a 0-0 draw at Union Berlin. They stayed put, but the pressure is on Bayern to stay ahead.

SC Freiburg lost the lead, dropping two places to third on 13 points after a 2-1 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen. Leverkusen are fourth on the same tally, with Patrik Schick scoring in the 76th minute.

The win lifted Elversberg three places to sixth on 10 points. Augsburg fell four places to 10th, the biggest drop of the round.

FSV Mainz 05 also climbed three places to fifth on 10 points, thanks to Phillip Tietz's 24th-minute winner against FC Schalke 04.

Late winners and a Füllkrug double

Hamburger SV leapt three places to ninth when Miro Muheim struck in the 88th minute to beat VfB Stuttgart 1-0. Eintracht Frankfurt also won 1-0, with Younes Ebnoutalib scoring in the 77th minute against 1. FC Köln.
